Ke ‘Ano Engineering was formed in 2015 by Rebecca Ann Seals in a desire for expertise and excellence. Rebecca Ann spent twelve years working with Weatherford & Associates, inc. a structural engineering firm in Montgomery, Alabama before branching out on her own. Rebecca Ann graduated from the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science in Mobile, Alabama and then earned her Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Summa Cum Laude and as a University Honors Scholar, from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. While attending Auburn University, she received the Robert C. Byrd scholarship and spent several months studying Sustainable Tourism, Rainforest Ecology, and Anthropology in the Central American country of Belize. She taught outdoor and experiential education for two seasons at Nature’s Classroom atop Lookout Mountain, Mentone, AL, before continuing her engineering education at the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, La Jolla, CA. While there she researched and published on “Time Degradation of Composite Jackets Used in Seismic Retrofit of Bridge Columns” under Dr. Vistasp Karbhari. Finishing her Master of Science in Structural Engineering in 2003, she returned to Eclectic, Alabama to pursue her love of designing structures.
